On Sept. 10 UT announced that the university has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report in its top tier of the category Regional Universities South in its Best Colleges 2019 Guidebook.

UT ranked 20 out of 148 schools in the Regional Universities South category. There were five other categories that UT was ranked in.

Ranking eighth in International Students, UT had an international student population of 16 percent last academic school year.
