Tampa concert line-up

Events in Tampa are normally focused on Raymond James Stadium and Lightning games. But this semester, music is taking over Tampa with a fall full of concerts, from big names to local favorites.

September

Foster the People:

An indie pop band, Foster the People started up in 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. They have since been on a tour and released 3 albums: Torches, Supermodel, and Sacred Hearts. Now theyโ€™re on their second tour and one of their stops is going to be Thursday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. at The Ritz Ybor, 1503 E 7th Ave in Tampa. Prices start at $46

NAS with Wale:

A hip hop recording artist that got his start in 1991, NAS will be coming to Jannus Live in St. Petersburg at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21 at Jannus Live, 200 1st Ave in St. Petersburg. Ticket prices will start at $60.

Rock the Park:

Once a month, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, located across the river from UT at 600 N Ashley Drive, holds a free concert. Their next one is going to be on Thursday, Sept. 7, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The bands featured will be Small Reactions, Someday River, and Shua Harrell of Oxford Noland. ย

Cody Johnson Live in Concert

Cody Johnson is an American Texas country artist who has self-released six albums. He will be performing at The Dallas Bull, 3322 US-301 in Tampa on Friday, Oct. 27, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Ticket prices start at $10; prices may rise.

Free Pops in the Park:

The Florida Orchestra is sponsoring a free concert at River Tower Park, 401 E Bird St. in Tampa on Sunday, Oct. 22, from 7-10 p.m.

An Evening of Led Zeppelin:

Whiskey Joeโ€™s, 7720 W Courtney Campbell Causeway, often features artists at the bar and Led Zeppelin is coming on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. There is no entry price for the concert, only the costs of food and drinks at the restaurant.

Chris Tomlin:

A contemporary Christian music writer, Chris Tomlin is coming to the University of South Florida Sun Dome, 4202 E Fowler Ave., Sun 130 in Tampa, on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. Ticket prices start at $52.

Fall Out Boy with Blackbear and Jaden Smith

Fall Out Boy will be coming to the Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive in Tampa, on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. Prices start at $63. Blackbear and Jaden Smith will also be joining the pop-punk band as openers.

IRATION with Through the Roots

IRATION is a Californian reggae group and will be performing with another reggae group, Through the Roots, at Jannus Live, 2001 1st Ave. N in St. Petersburg. Their concerts will be Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 10 and 11, at 6:00 p.m. Tickets start at $25, with a $40 two-day package.

Gwar: The Blood of Gods Tour

An American rock band that is originally from Richmond, Virginia and is consists of continually rotating artists, GWAR will be coming to The RITZ Ybor, 1503 E 7th Ave. in Tampa, on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $26.

Rev. Horton Heat with Junior Brown and The Blasters & Big Sandy

One of the most famous psychobilly artists, Rev. Horton Heat with Junior Brown and The Blasters & Big Sandy will be at Jannus Live, 200 1st Ave. N. in St. Petersburg, on Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 6:30 p.m. Ticket prices start at $50.
