On Jan. 13 a male subject from Illinois contacted admissions in reference to attending the university. He was advised to complete the on line application and he would be contacted. On Jan. 15 the subject apparently flew to Tampa anyway and attempted to attend the evening orientation at the Sykes College of Business, uninvited, but was turned away. He returned on Jan 16. and went to the admissions office. Due to the subject’s demeanor and inability to comprehend the directions he was advised he was not being considered for enrollment. He refused to leave the offices so security was contacted. Officers spoke to the subject and explained to him that he was no longer welcome on university property. He was then escorted off campus to the bus stop as he said he was going back to Illinois.

Officers were advised on Jan. 18 by a student returning from winter break that a 27′ flat screen TV was missing from a room. Investigation revealed the TV was removed on Dec. 24 by university staff and stored in an IT storage room. Further investigation found that the TV was sold to a student (person reporting) by the previous student resident of the room. Staff was advised to remove and store any property located in the rooms, and on Dec. 24 they removed property from vacated rooms. After contacting facilities they directed security to the IT storage room where the TV was located and it was given to the student.
