#comment 2 :I really hope the University of Tampa will use this space for more dorms and another parking garage. I support the Chapel, and look forward to its construction completion as Faith is very much needed in today's college scene.

On this New Year's Eve (2008-2009), I did not go out to party and celebrate like most people around the world did, instead I went to the downtown of Ramallah, Palestine to protest against Israeli attacks on Gaza. By admitting to violating both national and international law in the use and practice of torture, has the United States government's goal of greater transparency allowed us to open up dialogue and reconstruct our trust with other state actors, or has the release of the memos created more anger in the international community over U.S. actions that were carried out during the Bush administration? The Minaret asked University of Tampa students for their opinions.
