In addition to the plethora of already-existing organizations on campus with which students can get involved, there are two promising newcomers poised to make waves in the UT community: UT Trial and Advocacy Organization and Up 'til Dawn. The Trial and Advocacy Organization, started by Nick Williams, has formed to officially participate in two national competitions: Moot Court and Mock Trial.

While many UT students spent the summer at home softening up, the McNiff Fitness Center chose instead to pump itself up to a new level of excellence. Over the summer McNiff Fitness center received over $50,000 worth of new equipment and renovations from Student Government and facilities.

Unfortunately, someone has yet to create a nationally-recognized sport that combines water balloon tossing and dodge ball. In the meantime, however, UT students were able to do the next best thing and play the games separately last Saturday as ResLife hosted UT's first Field Day.

The third Annual Women's History Luncheon was a celebration of the Image and Substance of Women. Held in the Crescent Club on Wednesday, March 29, over 160 members of the UT campus pre-registered for this event. Attendees were asked to RSVP in staff/student or faculty/student pairs to encourage mentoring among young adults - male and female alike.
