#comment 2 :So, John McCain says Barack Obama wants us to forget the stakes in Iraq? Nobody really believes that foolish talk, do they? If Obama's elected, he'll work with military commanders on the ground in Iraq and consult with the country's government, and will end the war responsibly within 16 months. McCain refuses to say when he'd get out and would probably stay there much longer. Meanwhile, JUST TODAY, a close ally of the Iraqi prime minister said Iraq wants ALL U.S. troops--not just combat troops--out of their country by 2011. The fact is, the war's dragged on for FIVE LONG YEARS, with over 4,000 of our brave troops killed and $585 billion of our taxpayer money spent there, when the Iraqis already have billions of their own, and our money could be better spent here to shore up the economy and keep Americans in their jobs. Obama also knows we have to refocus the fight on Afghanistan, where al-Qaida and the Taliban have rebuilt themselves.John McCain showed poor judgment by choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate; she's clearly unqualified to be vice-president, let alone president if the need arises. And if Americans elect McCain, what's to prevent him from using more poor judgment, possibly at a crucial moment? The last thing we need is four more years of cowboy diplomacy! Barack Obama will lead with intelligence, clear vision, even temperament, and decisive action. Obama will keep our country safe and make SMART decisions about the military. Tampa, we desperately need a CHANGE. VOTE BARACK OBAMA! And vote early, this week.
