Life expectancy in the United States recently hit an all new high of 78 years, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC reports a reduction in the three leading killers in the United States (heart disease, cancer and stroke), thanks in part to public health professionals who implement educational programs, develop policies, administer services and conduct research.
