PLAYER OF THE WEEK Jeremy Black of the men's basketball team scored a career high 37 points against conference rival Eckerd College. He completed a double-double with 11 rebounds. Tampa came up short 87-86 in the game. Black also put up a team high 22 points in the first game of last week against Barry University.

City Honors One Player, Two Teams

By City Honors One Player, Two Teams

The baseball team and the women's soccer team were each awarded with the City of Tampa amateur male and female teams of the year. Senior goalie Shannon Aitken was also given top honors as the city's outstanding female amateur athlete. The ceremony, which took place Friday night, was televised by Catch 47 and also included the induction of Tampa alumnus Tino Martinez into its Hall of Fame.
