Baseball Series Success

On the road, Tampa baseball slid past Rollins College 2-1. The Spartans dominated the first game 16-2 powered by Jose Jimenez. Knocking out a career-high three home runs and 10 RBI, Jimenez hit his way into the team-high in both categories.

Tampa split the double header with a 14-7 victory in the 11th inning. The 2-1 series keeps the Spartans on top the conference standings as SSC play returns home this weekend against Barry University.

Softball Wins Season Finale

Tampa was victorious in a series away against top ranked Barry University last weekend. After dropping the first game, the Spartans rallied to sweep the double header.

Ashley Arcuri batted in both runners to hold a 2-1 win in game one. Deanna Henriott kept the Buccaneers off the board in the final five innings of game two allowing another 2-1 victory.

The wins conclude the regular season. Play resumes May 7-11 at the NCAA South Regional Tournament.

Crew Takes SSC Silver

Tampa crew rowed to second place overall in team points at the SSC Championship Regatta. Against a fierce headwind, the varsity 8+ didn’t fare well and failed to qualify for the finals. The varsity 4+ finished third of three and claimed the bronze.
